Kazakhstan beat Singapore 4-0 in women's hockey


New Delhi, March 8 (IANS): Kazakhstan convincingly beat Singapore 4-0 to open their account in the Hockey World League Round 2 (Women) at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Sunday.

Kazakhstan had no problem in beating the Singapore defence by regularly penetrating the D. Their efforts bore result in only the second minute when a pass to Vera Domashneva at the D was gently deflected into the net. Kazakhstan doubled their lead (28th minute) with Vera scoring her second goal.

The second half was no different as Kazakhstan scored their third via captain Natalya Gataulina (38th). Olga Khonina scored the fourth (43rd) to make it 4-0.
