Madikeri, Feb 15: In a first-of-its-kind instance reported from Kodagu (formerly Coorg), a housewife ended her life by shooting herself in the chest with a gun on Tuesday, February 13.
Geeta (22), wife of C Charmanna (Kashi), of Kaloor near here, was reportedly undergoing depression.
She hailed from Hudikeri in southern Kodagu and had married Charmanna a year-and-a-half ago. At the time of her sad act, her husband and the in-laws were busy with agricultural activity.
Madikeri rural police have registered a case in this regard.
