Puttur, Feb 15: Sri Ram Sene leader Arun Kumar Puttila who had been absconding ever-since violence broke-out at a religious function during the Shaineshwar puja recently surrendered before the police on Wednesday February 14.  Another top leader of Sri Ram Sene Ravi Prasad Shetty too surrendered himself before the town police along with Arun Kumar Puttila.

The duo was absconding after the incidents of violence on Saturday February 3 night. As reported earlier the police had registered cases against 33 including Sri Ram Sene leader Arun Kumar Puttila, Prasad Attavar, Ravi Prasad Shetty and a few others. 

However, all of them had been granted anticipatory bail by District Sessions Court after which they surrendered themselves before the police on Wednesday.  Right now they have been granted conditional bail under which they will have to pay Rs 25,000 as bond and are asked to present themselves before the police once in a week.
