Jet Airways Dubai-Mumbai flight suffers bird-hit


Mumbai, March 31 (IANS): A Jet Airways Dubai-Mumbai flight suffered a bird-hit shortly before landing at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here on Tuesday evening, but there was no damage to the plane nor any casualty, an official said.

The captain of flight 9W 541 reported the incident while landing, following which a thorough inspection of the aircraft was carried out.

There were 110 passengers in the flight, the official from the airline said.

    Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport run way is near to the slum. Lots of waste is thrown and birds circle in the sky. This is not the first-time happening.AAI has to take proper action to clear the wastes.
