Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai (AF/GA)

Mumbai, Apr 10: Veera Kesari Kalavrinda celebrated its 28th anniversary at Goregaon (west) here recently.

A poetry session was held on the occasion presided over by renowned journalist and writer Srinivas Jokatte. Educationalists Dayanand Poojary, Amreesh Patil, Pushparaj Shetty Malarbeedu, Shimanturu Chandrahas Suvarna, Ashok Pakkala, Mariyappa Natekar, Udaya Muduru and Sujata Nayak participated in the session. Kalavrinda honorary chief secretary Vishwanath Shetty compered.

The anniversary celebrations were presided over by Harikatha scholar and astrologer Vidwan Vishwanath Bhat Kairabettu.

Well-known Hindustani vocal Gajanana Yaji, artistes Srinivas P S and Vidya Deshpande were felicitated on the occasion.

Raghunath Gambheer, businessman Ramesh Shetty, Manava Seva Sangha honorary chief secretary Devu Shetty, Vishwakarma Association Mumbai former president G T Acharya and social worker Ramu M Ameen were present on the dais as chief guests.

Kalavrinda president Ramesh Karkera, honorary chief secretary Vishwanath Shetty, honorary treasurer Gangadhar Kalladi and Ramesh Shivpuri were also present on the dais. Naveen Gulibettu welcomed while Ratnakar Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.

Talented youngsters Vyshnavi, Tripti, Ankita Rai, Niriksha, Rishika, Tanu, Hitesh, Naina Sarpady and Veena Sarpady performed dance while Pallavi Arts troupe staged a Kannada play ‘Sansara’ on the occasion.
