Wawrinka advances to fourth round of French Open


Paris, May 30 (IANS): Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka proved himself resilient on Friday in the third round of Roland Garros when he beat American Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 in an hour and 29 minutes to reach the tournament's fourth round.

The winner of the 2014 Australian Open, Wawrinka, who last year was eliminated from Paris in the first round, will play the winner of the match between Frenchmen Gilles Simon and Nicolas Mahut, reports Efe.
