Sharapova eases through to fourth round of French Open


Paris, May 30 (IANS/EFE): World number two and defending Roland Garros champion, Russia's Maria Sharapova, qualified for the fourth round of the tournament.

She beat Australia's Samantha Stosur 6-3, 6-4 in one hour and 40 minutes on Friday

Sharapova will next face 11th-seeded Czech Lucie Safarova, who eliminated Germany's Sabine Lisicki 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).
