Mumbai, Apr 13: The teenage son of a leading builder from the city’s western suburbs has reportedly been abducted.

According to the police, Parvez Lakdawala’s son Nadeem, a student of standard XII, was standing near the Tawa restaurant in the Almeida Park area of Bandra (West) on Thursday evening when the incident occurred.

A Maruti Zen car halted next to the youth. Four men alighted, grabbed hold of Nadeem and pushed him into the car, and drove off.

Inspector K Kaskade confirmed the incident and said the police were trying to ascertain the men’s identities. But he refused to provide details.

The police said the builder had been receiving extortion calls for the past few days.

Most of Lakdawala projects are concentrated in Bandra and Khar.
