Mangalore, May 2: The platinum jubilee celebration of Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Employees' Association was held here on Tuesday May 1.
Speaking on the occasion, state Apex Bank chairman M N Rajendra Kumar urged the Association to include all the employees of cooperative societies in the Association.
He further said that the banking sector must employee only those people who are well-versed with the intricacies of banking.
‘Kalasha’ a souvenir marking the platinum jubilee year of the Association was released on the occasion by Mulki - Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain.
Former presidents and secretaries of the Association were felicitated on the occasion.
Among those present were district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty, cooperative unions district deputy manager P R Palangappa, SCDCC Bank director Bhaskar S Kotian, managing director P Narayan Kamath and others.
