Workshop for kids undergoing cancer treatment

New Delhi, July 16 (IANS): The Delhi Metro museum on Thursday organised a workshop for children undergoing treatment for cancer.

As part of the workshop, they were taken on a Metro ride from the AIIMS station to the Patel Chowk station, and given a guided tour of the Metro Museum.

They were also shown a presentation on the basic facilities available in the Metro in case of any medical emergency. They also participated in a drawing competition.

"Some short films on the basic etiquette of Metro travel were also screened," a Delhi Metro statement said.

Thirty children from ages three to 18, who are currently undergoing treatment for different stages of the disease, participated in the workshop.

The event was organised in association with the NGO 'Cankids...Kidscan', which works for the welfare of such children.
