Security tightened at Kerala temple after threat call


Guruvayoor (Kerala), July 21 (IANS): Security has been beefed up at the famed Sree Krishna Temple here after an anonymous to the police on Tuesday that it would be blown up.

Speaking to IANS, Guruvayoor ACP Jayachandran said the call was received in the early hours of Tuesday.

"The call has been made from a Middle East country and the security has been beefed up. The bomb and dog squad have been pressed into service," said Jayachandran.

Top police authorities have instructed its officials in and around Thrissur to ensure that nothing is left to chance.
