Sultry Tuesday in Delhi, light rain likely on Wednesday


New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS): It was a sunny and muggy Tuesday in the national capital with the maximum temperature settling three notches above the season's average at 36.8 degrees Celsius. The city is likely to get light rain on Wednesday, the Met Office said.

"The sky will remain cloudy tomorrow (Wednesday) and some parts of the city are likely to get showers," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 36 and 26 degrees.

Tuesday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 85 percent.

On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, average for the season.
