Udupi, Jun 13: A huge mango tree fell on Shahabuddin’s house at Mallar near here on Tuesday June 12 at night owing to heavy rains and storm.
According to the sources the total loss is estimated at Rs 50, 000. Nobody was injured though Habibunnisa, mother of Shahabuddin, and his sons Shohid and Abid were present while the tragedy occured. They miraculously escaped unhurt.
Kaup revenue inspector Satyananda Shetty, T P member Arun Shetty and Kaup block Congress president Gangadhar Suvarna visited the place.
