Mangalore, Jun 16: Kotekar gram panchayat secretary Rajanna has been suspended for fraud in panchayat plan funds, on Friday June 15.
Rajanna allegedly used to withdraw money belonging to the panchayat and utilize it for his personal use. Moreover, it has been charged that he used to demand money for any work to be done at the panchayat level. He has also been accused o harassing the people on flimsy reasons, it has been alleged by the public.
Besides, the public have said that during his tenure as secretary, no developmental work has taken place. Instead all the funds that were released by the government have been misused. Over and above this, he demanded money for every petty work to be done in the office.
