Brahmavar, Jun.17: In a series of accidents that took place on NH 17 in front of Uppoor school near here, several people were injured, on Saturday, June16.

A dumper carrying manganese ore from Udupi towards Brahmavar collided with a goods tempo and an autorickshaw while the oncoming car lost control and plunged into a deep pit. 

Two passengers, said to be hailing from Honnali, have been injured..  Their names are not known. 

Three women who were travelling in the car were from Heroor.  They haave been identified as Keerti Hegde, Shanta and Sharada.  They are believed to have been travelling from Manipal to Heroor.  The injured are being treated in a private hospital in Bramavar.

A case has been registered by Brahmavar police.
