Mangalore, Jun 18: A sum of Rs 4.35 crore has been released by the government for various development works in the city and in Ullal, in accordance with the promise made by deputy chief minister B D Yediyurappa.

A press release by MLA N Yogish Bhat stated that out of the amount released, Rs 1.9 crore is reserved for development works in the city while Rs 1 crore was released for the implementation of a minor irrigation project in Ullal.

Another Rs 1 crore is for repair and development of Gujjarkere tank. A sum of Rs 25 lac has been reserved for the development of Kuthuru Krishna Kodikere tank. The Kutharu Barke tank in Munnuru village in Ullal will also be developed at a cost of Rs 25 lac, the release stated.
