Beltangady, Jun 19: The Beltangady police have freed a young woman who had been unlawfully detained  at Kadirudyavar, recently. 

Sunanda, a resident of Chitradurga had been confined against her will in the house of Guruva Mugera at Bandaje, in Kadirudyavar village.  Suman, a resident of  Manjotti in Nada village, had held her in detention, it has been alleged.

Suman, while working at Chitradurga, said to have got friendly with Sunanda and brought her to Kadirudyavar later. 

The neighbours expressed suspicions about her stay here and informed the police, who freed her from detention.
