Udupi, June 20: It has been decided to cut short one-third of the costs for the 74th ‘All-India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana’, scheduled for October in Udupi, made in the previous conference, said conference reception committee secretary U Chandrashekhar Holla recently.

He further said that the total budget of the conference would be around Rs 1.80 crore.
The government had billed Rs 1 crore and Rs 30 lac would come from the one-day salary of the state government employees and the remaining fund is expected from the donors.

A website with various details about the conference and other information will be launched on Monday June 25, he said, and added that the website would also facilitate the Kannadigas staying abroad in registering their names, booking their tickets etc.
