Chennai, June 20: To clear the extra rush of passengers, Southern Railway will operate the following special trains to Dadar and Mangalore:

1) Chennai Central – Mangalore – Chennai Central Specials: Train No.0661 Chennai Central – Mangalore Special will leave Chennai Central at 17.00 hrs on June 23, 26, 28 & 30 and arrive Mangalore at 09.10 hrs the next day.

Train No. 0662 Mangalore – Chennai Central Special will leave Mangalore at 17.00 hrs on June 24, 27, 29 & July 1 and arrive Chennai Central at 08.45 hrs the next day.

The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palghat, Shoranur, Tirur, Calicut, Badagara, Tellicherry, Cannanore, Kanhangad and Kasargod.

T.No.0662 will stop at Perambur also.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 9 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

2) Chennai Central – Dadar Special: Train No. 0639 Chennai Central – Dadar Special will leave Chennai Central at 23.30 hrs on June 21 and arrive Dadar at 03.45 hrs on June 23.

The train will stop at Arakkonam, Renigunta, Cuddappah, Yerraguntla, Tadipatri, Gooty, Guntakkal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Daund, Pune, Lonavala, Karjat and Kalyan.

The composition of the train will be 9 Sleeper Class, 7 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Advance reservation for the above trains commenced today, a Southern Railway press release says
