Dubai: USWAS holds blood donation campaign

Dubai, Oct 17: UAE's St Mary's Welfare Association of Shirva (USWAS) organized a blood donation campaign at Latifa Hospital (Old Al Wasl Hospital), here on Friday October 16 from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm. 





























A large number of donors irrespective of caste and creed participated in this noble cause and donated blood to make the event successful. The managing committee members of USWAS were in attendance to welcome the donors and guided them for the initial formalities of blood donation.
  
USWAS managing committee thanked all the donors who took active participation in this campaign and were grateful to them. This was the third time USWAS organized a blood donation campaign. Their efforts were well appreciated by DHA and staff of the hospital, Dubai.

On behalf of USWAS-Shirva all the participants were awarded with a letter of appreciation by the president Herald Mathias. Blood donation campaigns were efficiently conducted by Roshan Menezes. Breakfast was arranged for all the donors.

USWAS, in the UAE is a group of dedicated members born or belonging to the parish of Our Lady of Health Church-Shirva. This well established association has consistently rendered its constant service in various fields for the past 13 years. The association abides and drives its spirit with the motto ‘Lend a hand not for self, but for each other’. Driven by this motto, the group extends humanitarian service to promote the quality of life.
