Dubai, Nov 18: Large number of people attended the free health camp organized by Thumbay Hospital in association with Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF), on Friday November 13 from 2.30 pm to 9.00 pm.
The camp held at Thumbay Hospital next to Stadium Metro Station at Al Qusais provided free consultation and checkup with consultants and specialists of the hospital in various specialties such as cardiology, internal medicine, general medicine, general surgery, ENT, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, endocrinology, orthopedics, dermatology, dental, ophthalmology, pulmonology and psychiatry.
The free medical camp started at 2.30 pm, with the presence of Akbar Moideen Thumbay, vice president of the healthcare division of Thumbay Group, Dr B K Yusuf, president of BCF and Abdul Latif Mulky, chairman of BCF health camp committee. Members of the administrative team of Thumbay Group and BCF office-bearers also attended the function.
In addition to free consultations and checkups, the camp also offered special discounts on total knee replacement package, maternity package, normal delivery package, LSCB package, antenatal package, mammography test, etc. Free blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI checkups and ECG tests were given to patients who were also advised by the doctors. Moreover, people who registered for the ‘Privilege Card’ at the camp are eligible for a 20% discount at all the clinics of Thumbay Group, for a one-year-period. Privilege Card holders will also be entitled to a special discount on Umrah vaccination, for the next one year.
Akbar Moideen Thumbay said that Thumbay Group regularly conducted many similar health camps, as part of its corporate social responsibility. He added that these kind of camps were conducted with the aim of helping the public gain easy access to superior healthcare. “We are pleased that our health camps regularly benefit a lot of people across the UAE,” he said.
