Kuwait: KCWA organizes talents competition

Kuwait, Nov 23: The KCWA talent competition was held on Friday November 20 at the Indian Community School, Khaitan.

































The event began at 2 pm with prayer by the managing committee members followed by classroom events such as coloring competition, painting competition, collage competition, photograph ‘best moments’ contest, puzzles competition, vegetable or fruit carving, teatime snack recipe with beaten rice (Poha).

The classroom events were judged by Dr Vinod Kumar, Guruprasad Hegde, Anil Avil Fernandes, Melantha Tanaji, Shilpa Tyagi, Trevor Howard Pachaco, Yadunath Alva, Shilpa Tyagi, Vasudeva Poojary, Donald John D’cunha and Iris D’Silva.

The fancy dress competition on the themes ‘my favorite fruit’ and ‘best costume out of waste’ was judged by Cynthia Lobo, Shobha Harisha Bhandary, Lucy D’Souza, Felix Saldanha.

After the fancy dress competition, solo and group dance events were held which were judged by Vickey Tanaji, Shalini Yadunath Alva and advocate Priya Haridas.

President Albert Praveen Menezes from the stage welcomed the gathering. This was then followed by prize distribution and felicitation of judges.

The final event of the day was the entertainment act judged by Purandara Manchi, Felix Saldanha and Ida D’Silva.

The event was coordinated by Satish Saldanha and Linette D’Souza along with Freya Saldanha and Steevan Misquith who carried out registration and compilation and were well supported by the rest of the managing committee members.

KCWA wishes to thank the management of ICSK for their school premises, Waves Event Engineering for the sound, Prem Crasto and Alban D'Souza for photography and Blue Ray Digitals for video coverage, the judges who graced the event and most importantly all those who came forward and participated, making the event a grand success.
