Oman: MMK silver jubilee celebration to begin on Nov 27

Oman, Nov 25: Countdown begins for Muscat Mogaveers Koota’s (MMK) silver jubilee celebrations scheduled on Friday, November 27 at the Grand Hall, Al Falaj Hotel. Preparations are on in full swing. An unparalleled evening of elegance and entertainment is set to unfold. The executive committee of MMK is working hard and all efforts are underway to make it a grand and memorable event.




Muscat Mogaveera Koota, one of the pioneer community kootas in Oman came into existence in the year 1989. The basic idea was to bring all the community members of coastal Karnataka region living in Oman under one umbrella, to encourage multiple potential talents, promote socio-cultural programmes, get involved in sports activities and to uphold the goal of preserving the traditions and rich cultural heritage.

Ganesh Beejadi and Kalavati Puthran together with a band of highly talented musicians will enthrall the audience with their melodious filmy / folk songs in different languages mixed with a feast of instrumental music. Also, Satish Hemmady's team will present a spectacular magic show and ventriloquist show. In addition, the members of Muscat Mogaveers Koota will present variety cultural programs.

As a special attraction, Asia’s renowned speed painting artist, Vilas Nayak from Manipal, will be displaying his artistic skills, which will mesmerize the audience.

The music and magic will blend with a lavish gala dinner, where attendees can meet and greet the evening’s special guests expected to grace the occasion from India and GCC countries.

The extensive guests of honour lineup, who will be arriving from Mangaluru, include:
Nadoja Dr G Shankar (chairman G Shankar Family Trust, prominent social worker, Karnataka Government Rajyothsawa Awardee)
Pramod Madhwaraj (MLA Udupi constituency, Karnataka, member Konkan Railway consultative committee, Mumbai)
Bhuvanendra Kidiyoor, MD – Kidiyoor Hotels Pvt Ltd, Udupi, founder member - MM Koota, Muscat
Yashpal Suvarna, state secretary, BJP Yuva Morcha, president, DK Fish Marketing Federation. Arrived in Oman on Tuesday November 24.
Ananda Suvarna, businessman and prominent sSocial worker. Arrived in Oman on Tuesday November 24.
B N Narasimha, president, Bengaluru Mogaveera Sangha and proprietor of 'Nesara' Advertising Company, arrived in Oman on Tuesday November 24.

In addition, many representatives from UAE Mogaveers, Kuwait Mogaveers and Bahrain Mogaveers are also expected to attend the function.

Commemorating the silver jubilee, a souvenir will also be released on the occasion. Members children who have excelled in various fields, namely education, sports, games etc, will be duly honoured in recognition of their individual achievements.

Along with the guests of honour, the founder members of MM Koota and the major sponsors for the event will also be duly felicitated during the event for their hard work, dedication and support in nurturing the Koota.
