Mangalore, Sep 18: While it is generally believed that apartments are much safer to live in than independent homes, a report received from the city could make apartment residents sit up and take note.

D S Ravindran, resident of Greenwood Apartments on S L Mathias Road here, has filed a complaint at the Pandeshwar police station that his son and friends slept on the upper floor of the apartment on Sunday night and had left the door open for better ventilation.

Thieves took advantage of the open door and stole two Canon cameras, a Sony home music theatre, a mobile phone and some pairs of shoes.

The total value of lost articles is said to be Rs 48,000.

    Thieves stole canon cameras, Sony music theatre, mobile cellophone from the flat, OH they are Professional looters, we can call them e_looters.
