Mangalore, Sep 18: Engineers’ Day celebration - 2007 was held on the occasion of the 147th birth anniversary of Bharatharatna Sir M Vishvesvaraya at St Francis Xavier Church Hall, Bejai here on Monday September 17 evening.

The programme was organized by Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Engineers' Association and The Institution of Engineers (India).

K R Shenoy, chief engineer (retd.), Karnataka Public Works Department, was the chief guest on the occasion whereas B Padmanabha Rai, the working president, KDKUE Association presided over the function.

A technical model exhibition was also held between 2 pm to 5 pm. The annual general body meeting of Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Engineers’ Association was held at 3.30 pm in the same premises.

Sathish Rao Iddya, chairman, I E (I), MLC, B Padmanabha Rai, working president, KDKUEA, Yogish Hegde, honorary secretary, I E (I), MLC and Girish Kumar, general secretary, KUDUEA were present on the occasion.
