Kundapur, Oct 4: Sheshu Kharvi (52) of Karkikali-Dabadi in Uppunda near here died of drowning when the boat he was in while fishing in the sea capsized on Wednesday.
Kharvi had been on fishing rounds early morning around 5-30 in a small craft. Powerful waves upturned the boat and he was thrown into the sea. Other fishermen Jagannath Kharvi and Suresh tried to save him but it was in vain.
A case has been registered in the Byndoor police station.
