Mangalore, Oct 4:
Action plan and series of seminars which will be conducted by Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) were detailed to the media persons by Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, president, KCCI.

He was speaking at the press conference held at the meeting hall of KCCI exim facilitation centre here on Thursday October 4.
 
Series of seminars will be conducted in 2007-08, the president said. The main aim of seminars will be to cater to the requirements of business persons and merchants to boost their performances and quality of the services rendered to the general public, he added.
 
The seminar to be conducted during October is CII Vision 2025 semiar. The other seminars to be conducted in this year are banking seminar and all-India level textile seminar and exhibition which will be conducted in the month of November, Prabhu informed.

In the month of December all-India level IT Seminar and exhibition will be conducted, he added.

The other seminars such as medical insurance seminar, service industry seminar, investment and financial planning seminar, seminar on human resource and practices in management and seminar on service tax will be held in the next year 2008 from January to July 2008, the president said.
 
The workshop and programmes, to coincide the seminars, will also be conducted, Prabhu said. Workshop such as labor workshop, cleaner production workshop will be held in the year 2007 – 2008, Prabhu informed.

KCCI members’ day celebration and other programmes will be conducted, Prabhu stated. The chamber will also draw the attention towards various problems faced by the the district, he said.
 
Speaking to Daijiworld, Ahmad Bava, treasurer, KCCI, said that Kanara Chamber will appeal to the government to focus upon tourism, where the state government has not given more importance.
 
Srinivas S Kamath, vice-president, KCCI, Shekhara Poojary, secretary, Mohan Das Prabhu GG, secretary were present at the press conference.
