Mangalore, Oct 4:
Santosh Kumar Bhandary has been indulging in 'anti-Congress party activity,' alleged Shahul Hameed here at the press conference on Thursday October 4.

The press statements released by Bhandary were far from reality. Whatever said by him hardly represented facts and realities prevailed in the party, Hameed said.

"Bhandary claims that he has been a loyal party worker for more than three decades. But in fact he was brought in by Ramanatha Rai.   Earlier he had been in BJP. This clearly indicates that he is issuing contradictory statements,"  Hameed justified.

Bhandary played 'passive-decisive' role in making Congress party to lose its majority. As a result of which Mamatha Ghatty had to make way for the opposite party, Hameed added.

His decisions were never in favour of the growth and welfare of Congress party, rather he had left no stone unturned in order to fulfil his own motives. When Aziz Malar was the candidate of Congress at ZP elections, he said he was in Bangalore and told the party leaders that he will not be able to come to elections. But on the following day he came to the election and passively helped BJP, he added.

He was a mere opportunist, his loyalty was never constant to a single leader, rather it stuck to the chair of district-in-charge minister. When Ramanath Rai was district minister-in-charge, his loyalty was for Rai. Loyalty changed its colour as Nagaraj Shetty became minister-in-charge minister, Hameed detailed.

Emilda Pinto, Chandra Shekhar Kamath, Mamata Gatty and AC Bhandary were present at the press conference.
