Puttur, Oct 4: Tulu cultural convention will be held in association with Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, Narimogru Tulu Cultural Convention Committee and Dharmasthal Rural Development Scheme at Narimogru Sandipani School on Sunday October 7.

Sadananda Gowda, member of the parliament will inaugurate the function. Tulu Academy member M K Sitaram Kulal will preside over the function. Senior Kannada-Tulu writer Dr Amritha Someshwar, retired judge Dr Shanker Khanderi, Dharmasthala Rural Development Scheme director Dr L H Manjunath, thinker Lakshmish Tolpadi, social activist Nalini Lokappa Gowda and Jayaram Kedilaya, president of Sandipani educational institutions will be the chief guests on this occasion.

Different seminars will be held on the occasion. Dr Narendra Rai Derla and Dr Nityananda Shetty will present the papers. Dr Abhaykumar will preside over the seminar.

Prof K Chinnappa Gowda will deliver the concluding speech. MLA Shakuntala Shetty will preside over this function. Kudkadi Vishwanath Rai, Dr Vasantkumar Perla, Dr Vaman Nandavar, Puttur Tulukoota president Durgaprasad Rai Kumbra will be the chief guests on this occasion.

Dr Paltadi Ramakrishna Achar, honorary president of the convention president K Jinadeva Ariga and general secretary Narnappa Salian Marakkur will be present on this occasion, stated a press release.
