Ali completes ton as England consolidate position


Rajkot, Nov 10 (IANS): England posted 450/6 in their first innings at lunch on the second day of the first cricket Test against India here on Thursday.

Ben Stokes was batting on 84 while Chris Woakes was unbeaten on four at the break.

Overnight batsman Moen Ali completed his century before being bowled by pacer Mohammed Shami.

For India, star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (2/138) and Shami (2/51) bagged a couple of wickets each.

Umesh Yadav (1/103) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/70) got a wicket each.
