Mangalore: MRPL, Shell Join Hands

Mangalore, Feb 6: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) signed the joint venture shareholders’ agreement with Shell in New Delhi on Tuesday. 

The JV company will be incorporated as a private limited company with an initial equity of Rs 30 crore. The registered office and head office of the JV will be in Bangalore. Under the JV, both the companies will route their future marketing activities for aviation fuelling service. 

The agreement was signed by MRPL MD R Rajamani and vice-president of Shell Aviation Mr Sjoerd Post in presence of chairman of ONGC group of companies, R S Sharma, and chairman of Shell group of companies (India) Vikram S Mehta. The agreement is effective from March 1, 2008
