Mangalore: Advanced Cardiology Research Centre at Omega Hospital

Mangalore, Feb 6: The advanced cardiology research centre and free cardiac check up camp at Omega Hospital here will be inaugurated on Friday February 8, said Dr Mukund, at a press conference here on Wednesday, February 6.

The veteran cardiac surgeon added that the centre will be inaugurated by P K Srimathi Teacher, minister for health, government of Kerala. The inaugural ceremony will be presided over by M Veerappa Moily, chairman of Union Administrative Reforms Commission. 

The camp will be inaugurated by CH Kunhambu, MLA of Manjeshwar. Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva's Education Trust will preside while former MLAs Yogish Bhat and U T Khader will be the chief guests, he added. 

Speaking on the necessity of the research center, Dr Mukund said that the lifestyles of people are fast changing in the IT era. It has become increasingly necessary to make use of the latest tachnology especially in research. The new research centre is aimed at precisely fulfiling this need, he added.
