Mumbai, Jan 25: Billavara Association Mumbai celebrated its 85th anniversary at Gurunarayana auditorium, Santacruz east on Tuesday evening, January 24.

Vice president Dr U Dhananjay Kumar, Shanker D Poojary, Bhaskar V Bangera, advocate Raja V Salian, honorary chief treasurer Mahesh C Karkal, women's wing president Shakuntala K Kotian were present on the dais. The bank's managing director C R Mulki and elite, former and present leaders of Billavara Association and office bearers of the association were present.

Association honorary chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan welcomed everyone. Gopalakrishna Kenchanakere explained the association's functions and introduced the founder and president in Yakshagana style. Muddu Salian, co-artistes Pravin Shetty, Harish Salian delivered the keynote address in Yakshagana style.

The association's monthly magazine's mouthpiece Akshaya's, assistant editor K Hejmady introduced the felicitated and compered the programme. Honorary joint secretary Dhananjay S Kotian proposed the vote of thanks.
