Beltangady: Dharmasthala to Donate Building to Kidwai Hospital

Beltangady, Mar 6: Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Heggade announced the construction of a building for Bangalore’s Kidwai Cancer Hospital at a cost of Rs 5 crore.

He was addressing the 15,000 people who came from Bangalore by walk to Dharmasthala Temple here on Wednesday March 5.

He further said that Shivaratri is a festival of happiness. He also said that in Shivratri one should have control over self and take inspiration from Shiva who is sitting for meditation. Heggade said it is very necessary that one should have self control and patience which are very essential for good health.

People from Bangalore, Dodda Ballapura, Mandya, Mysore, Hassan, Belgaum and Hubli comprised the group of 15,000.

Among the group D Krishanappa Mariyappa was felicitated on the occasion for having achieved walking feats from the past 25 years. Swamidas Shree Hanumanthappa Swami, Chandrappa, Dayand, B Kumar, Padmaraj, S Halayya, Venugopal, R Gangayya were also felicitated.

People who died during the course of the walking expedition were paid tributes on the occasion.
