Mangalore, Mar 6: Governor Rameshwar Thakur has nominated Dr L Prabhakar, principal and director of Sahyadri Institute of Technology her to the Executive Council of Vishvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, a press release stated.
Dr DL Prabhakara, an eminent scholar and able administrator has completed his M.Tech (Applied Mechanics) at IIT Madras and his Ph.D (Aerospace Engg.) at IIT Kharaghpur. He has more than 34 years of experience in the teaching profession and has published about 60 research papers in National and International journals and conferences. He is also an author of the book titled 'Graphic Statics'. He has served in many academic and statutory boards of premier universities including VTU.
