The city unit of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV), staged protest in front of the city office of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (Mescom), on Friday March 7, against the irregular supply of electricity.  They alleged that students who are preparing for their annual exams are going through hardship owing to regular load-shedding

 
The members of senior citizens' association staged the protest, in front of municipal headquarters, demanding development of Municipal grounds, Ajjarkad in the city.  They also presented memorandum to Dinakar Shetty, municipal councilor, urging the municipal authority to allot them a plot to construct a building for their association

The activists of Dalit Sanggarsha Samiti (DSS) staged protest, in front Deputy Commissioner's office on Friday March 7, alleging that the teachers’ recruitment list announced for aided schools in the district was anti-Dalit.  They presented the memorandum to DC urging him to give prominence to Dalits in the recruitment list
