Mangalore, Mar 8: The labour department, Konaje police and Childline rescued a 11-year-old child labourer from a house in Konaje here on Friday March 7.
On the basis of information provided by district child welfare committee a girl child by name Lakshmi was reportedly used for domestic work in the house of one Hasanabba.
Sources informed that Lakshmi had been brought to Hasanabba’s house by her aunt who is also a domestic servant.
A case has been filed in Konaje police station and the department is also looking in to the matter.
