Mangaluru: Sea erosion before monsoon worries people living near sea

Mangaluru, Jun 1: Although pre-monsoon showers did not last long, sea erosion that had erupted in Ullal area has posed risk to hundreds of houses.

Violent waves were seen hitting the seashore in Ullal, Uchila, Kotepura areas. Waves have been hitting over ten houses and a mosque in Killeriya Nagara area. Similar
situation has also existed in Uchila since Wednesday.

People have been saying that on account of breakwater works aimed at permanently solving the problem of sea erosion, which have been taken up at Kotepura and
Mogaveerapatna areas, waves have got redirected towards Killeriya Nagara, Subhash Nagara, Someshwar, Uchila etc.

    Start a huge factories to cast TETRAPODS like the Japanese/koreans do...start placing them on the coats.. to stop erosion..
    Start Growing Mangroves for controlling EROSION..
