Bengaluru, Aug 24: Every evening, at 6 pm, starting Wednesday, August 30, St Jude's Church, RT Nagar will hold the novena in preperation for 'Monti Fest'.  Ceremonial flower strewing by children in front of the grotto, will follow.  On Saturday and Sunday, novena and flower strewing will be held after the evening mass. 

Konkani Catholic Welfare Association RT Nagar, one of the oldest Manglurean Konkan organisations, has been celebrating 'Monti Fest' year after year on a grand scale. This year too, preparations are on full scale for the Mangalurean family feast.

On Friday, September 8, the nativity feast day will be marked by a Konkani mass at 5.00 pm, followed by the flower strewing ceremony. As a symbolic gesture, sugarcane will be distributed to all children after the mass.

The KCWA RT Nagar Community members invited all Manglureans to participate in Novena and the feast mass in large numbers, to make the feast a meaningful one, as one large family.
