Udupi, May 23: The district excise department has undertaken preventive measures to ensure that the liquor tragedy which struck parts of Bangalore and Kolar districts of the state, does not raise it's ugly head in the district.

People in possession of any information about either the poisonous hooch or sale of spurious liquor and also about the persons involved in such activites, may pass on the same either to the excise department of the police.
