Mangaluru: MAA to launch 'World Alzhiemer's Month' on Sep 1

Mangaluru, Aug 29: Mangalore Alzheimer's Association on Friday, September 1, at 7 am, will hold a grand launch of the 'World Alzhiemer's Month'. This is in tandem with the month-long observance declared by the UN.

A huge gathering of senior citizens, students of medical college and all other colleges, social workers, political leaders, ministers, MLA's, IGP, police commissioner, DC, ADC, principals of colleges, and all eminent citizens will be present.

Peoples Association for Geriatric Empowerment, an association of around 30 organisations, will organise awareness programmes throughout the month.

The observance will work towards the theme 'make Mangaluru dementia-friendly'.
