Mangaluru: Police raid illegal slaughterhouse - seize 70 kg beef

Mangaluru, Sep 3: Bajpe police raided a slaughterhouse that was being illegally operated from the house of Rafique, resident of Tattady in Jokatte, Kenjar village on Saturday September 2 morning and took into possession 70 kg beef, a knife, sword, plastic sheets and tarpaulin.

The raid was based on reliable information collected by the police. Bajpe police inspector, T D Nagaraj, conducted this raid with other personnel of the station under instructions of Panambur assistant police commissioner, Rajendra D S.

The police found legs of a cow, beef, and other equipment used for slaughtering the animal. Bajpe police registered a case and began investigation.
