Bantwal: Body of missing man found floating in AMR Dam

Bantwal, Sep 4: The body of a man was found floating in AMR Dam here on Sunday September 3. The body was later identified to be that of Ishwar Gowda (68), native of Gerukatte in Kaliya village, Beltangady taluk.

Gowda had left his home on September 1, duly telling his family that he was leaving for the house of his daughter living at Puduvettu village. He did not reach his daughter's home, and his son, Purandar Gowda, had filed missing complaint in Beltangady police station thereafter.

After they got information that a body was floating in the dam, police personnel conducted spot inspection. After the body was identified to be that of Ishwar Gowda, it was released to his close relatives, police stated. A case about this incident was filed in the town police station here.
