Udupi: Three Drown in Sitanadi

Udupi, May 28: Two girls and one boy who were bathing in River Sitanadi at Paduneelavar village, near Brahmavar in Udupi district, drowned on Tuesday. According to the Brahmavar police, Soumya (14), Sumana (13) and Gururaj (11) had gone to have their bath in the river on Tuesday morning.

Soumya and Sumana were sisters and Gururaj was their relative. They belonged to Krishnapur near Surathkal. They had come to Neelavar village to attend an engagement ceremony on Monday.
