Mangalore, May 28: Playoffs, the week-long men’s basketball tournament at Father Muller Medical College ended on Tuesday May 27 with the MBBS batch 2005 being declared the winners after the final match.
A total of fifteen matches were played over a period of one week and teams from all batches and courses of the medical college participated in the tournament.
MBBS batch 2005 won the finals against MBBS batch 2004. Benjamin Alex of MBBS batch 2005 was declared player of the series while Antony Thomas of MBBS batch 2004 was adjuged defender of the series.
Dr B Sanjeev Rai, dean, Father Muller Medical College presented the trophy to the winners.
Speaking on the occasion Fr Denis D’Sa, administrator, FMMC said that sports should help in the overall development of personality.'
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, FMCI presided over the function.
