Mangaluru, Sep 8: The fourth additional district court here has sanctioned bail to four of the accused in the case pertaining to the murder of Prashant Poojary, a Hindu activist from Moodbidri in September 2015 near his shop.
Sirajuddin Ullal, Tajuddin, Akbar Valachil and Anwar Bajpe have succeeded in procuring bail in this case.
The Moodbidri police had arrested ten persons relating to this case and filed charge sheet in the court against 17 accused. Out of the remaining seven accused, three had surrendered in the court at Moodbidri two months back. Thereafter, the police had taken them into police custody, interrogated them, and filed report. The accused, who were in judicial custody thereafter, had filed applications seeking bail.
Advocates, Ashraf K and Abdul Majeed, had appeared on behalf of the accused in the case.
