Mangalore: IMA Hosts Late K Bhujanga Rao Memorial Lecture

Mangalore, May 29: The annual Late K Bhujanga Rao Memorial Lecture programme, organized by Mumbai Surgicals Company under the aegis of Mangalore University, Dakshina Kannada branch of Indian Medical Association(IMA) and Justice K S Hegde Medical Academy, was held at the auditorium of IMA on Wednesday May 28.

In the programme where more than 150 medical experts participated, chief cardiac surgeon of the famous Wockhardt Hospital, Bangalore, Dr Vivek Javali gave useful information while speaking on the benefits of anaesthesia-free surgery.

Vice-dean of K S Hegde Academy of Medical Education Dr Sathish Bhandary who is also the president of IMA Dakshina Kannada, welcomed the chief guest. KSHEMA chief cardiac surgeon Dr K Subrahmaniam presided. Dr Nandakishore, grandson of the late Bhujanga Rao, felicitated the chief guest Dr Vivek Javali. IMA Dakshina Kannada honourary secretary Dr Manjunath Shenoy proposed the vote of thanks.
