Hassan: More than 30 Killed in Tragic Truck Accident

HASSAN, May 29: More than 30 people were killed near Arakalgud in Karnataka's Hassan district when a truck in which they were travelling plunged into a waterbody on Thursday, police said.

Authorities have rushed to the spot and rescue operations have commenced, police said.

At least seven persons have been rushed to a nearby hospital.

The truck, which was carrying a marriage party, was packed with more than 100 people, police said.
