Puttur, Sep 11: "Hinduism has the potential to successfully face evil powers launching attack on it and protect themselves. Towards this end, youth power should spruce itself up, and the entire Hindu society should unite," said Sri Matanandamayee of Sri Gurudevadatta Samsthanam, Odiyoor.

She was addressing the 'Sankalpa Samavesha' held at Ankathadka ground under the aegis of Paltady Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti on Sunday September 10. The convention was held to alert the people about the ill affects of Love Jihad.

"There is a need to make every family aware of its duty to protect Hinduism. Our country was the one which spread sublime philosophies to the world. Our land predominantly follows the system of matriarchal family. A conspiracy to trap Hindu girls has been hatched by religious bigots by using social websites. Hindu families should wake up to the danger posed by thee forces and protect themseves," she advised.

Hindu leader, Arun Kumar Puthila, speaking on the occasion,claimed that Love Jihad has set foot in Paltady and the conspiracy is brewing. He urged the police to arrest the accused and those who extended protection to him, within 24 hours. He warned that if the police fail to act, people will lay siege to Bellare police station.

Managing trustee of Bellare Laxmi Venkiataramana temple, Goipalakrishna Shanbhogue Manikkara, presided. convener, Lokesh Kumar Paltady, lecturer, Akshay Gokhale and social thinker, Srikant Shetty Udupi were present. Hindu Hitarakshana Samiti honorary president, Ganesh Shetty Kunhady welcomed. Subraya Gowda proposed vote of thanks.

Before the convention, a huge procession was taken out to Akathadka from Murkethi through Paltady. Over 5,000 persons took part in the procession which was accompanied by Sullia MLA, S Angara and others.
