R.S. Prasanna signed by Siddharth Roy Kapur, can't wait to say 'action'

Mumbai, Oct 6 (IANS): Film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur has roped in director R.S. Prasanna, who made his debut in Bollywood with "Shubh Mangal Saavdhan", for his next production venture. He can't wait to wear the director's hat again.

"And, this is what's been cooking: Announcing my next with THE Sid Roy Kapur. Post 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', can't wait to say 'action' soon," Prasanna tweeted on Friday.

Kapur says Prasanna is an extremely talented filmmaker.

"Prasanna and I will be collaborating on his next film and I am very happy to be working with him. Like the rest of the country, I absolutely loved 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan'. R.S. is an extremely talented filmmaker with a fresh voice and has an ability to make unique content reach out to a mainstream audience," Kapur said in a statement.

"I am sure that together we will make a memorable film," he added.

Prasanna says he has great respect for Kapur and his "creative vision".

"It is an honour and delight to work with him. I am excited about our collaboration and I'm sure it will be a great experience. We hope to give the audiences a truly special film through our collaboration," Prasanna said.

Partnering with Kapur excites Prasanna.

"I believe post the success of 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', partnering with Siddharth excites me as a filmmaker who wants to tell unusual stories that celebrate life in all its ordinariness," he added.

Kapur has produced films such as "Dangal", "ABCD2", "Haider", "Barfi!" and "Kai Po Che!" during his tenure with Disney UTV, and he has now started his own banner.
